Executive Chef Jerell Lucas
Born and raised in Goshen, NY, Executive Chef Jerell Lucas became interested in the culinary arts in his early 20s. His passion for cooking was ignited by his friend and mentor, Gary Morison. Morison, a phenomenal cook to this day, told him, “Either cook with love or don’t cook at all”, which has become Jerell’s mantra and can be experienced in his food. Lucas worked in a few local restaurants and country clubs early in his career. Eventually, he became a sous chef at the West Hills Country Club, where he worked for four years. In early 2023 Faith and Ron hired Lucas as a sous chef at the Stagecoach Inn; he was appointed Executive Chef in April of 2023. Jerell is a father of three, enjoys time with the family, and coaches his son’s basketball team.

In 2022, our lounge underwent a remarkable transformation, emerging as a refined and contemporary haven that now offers one of the finest dining experiences at the inn. Here, you can indulge in unparalleled comfort by its fireplace while savoring a delectable meal.

Solarium
The Solarium, an addition to the house dating back to 1917, underwent a complete restoration in 2016 as part of the inn's comprehensive renovation. In 2022, it received a style update to enhance its timeless appeal. With its abundant natural light and stunning views of the South and West lawns, the solarium serves as an ideal setting for intimate dinners or private events.

Covered Back Porch
One of our more recent projects involved the meticulous restoration of our back porch, where we reinstated the charming original bluestone patio and introduced a stylish roof. This renovation has resulted in an inviting outdoor dining and relaxation area, further enhancing the charm of our establishment. Equipped with large window coverings and heaters, this space is now suitable for year-round use, offering picturesque views of our South and West lawns.
