Agri-tourism in the Hudson Valley has always been here and is part of what makes this area such an amazing place to visit and explore. The Craft Beverages industry is a large part of this movement and is growing so fast it got it’s own page. Below is a sampling of all that our area offers for homegrown goodness.
Orchards / U-Pick
There are dozens of orchards where you can pick your own produce or Christmas trees. Below are just a few of our favorites.
Soons Orchard offers more than fifty varieties of home-grown apples, peaches, nectarines, apple cider, and vegetables. The market has homemade pies, cookies, and donuts. Fall weekends include hayrides, u-pick pumpkins and apples. Monthly farm dinners. Cidery on site. Market open daily. Soons is located 6 miles from the inn.
Halfway Acres is a family-owned organic blueberry farm located in Campbell Hall, under 4 miles from the inn. U-pick blueberries are in season late Spring, early Summer.
Manza Family Farm offers U-pick pumpkins, a craft store, hay maze, farm animals, hayrides, and farm stand. Cut your own Christmas trees, Santa and live reindeer weekends in Dec. Manza Family Farm is located in Montgomery, NY just 8 miles from the inn.
Masker Orchard is a 200 acre orchard with breath taking views, barnyard animals, pony rides and wagon rides. Masker is more than a pick-it yourself apple orchard; it is a family tradition. Masker is located 13 miles from the inn in Warwick.
Ochs Orchard offers pick your own fruits (apples, pears, berries, pumpkins) and vegetables (peas, tomatoes, corn) with home grown produce and cider (in season) at the farm stand. Ochs Orchard is located 13.5 miles from the inn.
Pennings Orchard offers over 18 varieties of apples. Don’t forget to visit the calves, goats and pigs. Let the kids get lost in the kiddie maze, and enjoy the play area. The Farm Market is located adjacent. Pennings is located in Warwick 14 miles from the inn.
Warwick Valley Winery - Enjoy strolling the orchard and picking apples with a glass of wine, cider, or sangria. Apple picking is offered Labor Day weekend through Halloween. WVW is located 12 miles from the inn.
Wright Family Farm is a family-run farm that offers a variety of seasonal outdoor fun with an old-fashioned farm theme including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, animals, Christmas trees and more. Wright Family Farm is located in Sugar Loaf, 10 miles from the inn.
Farm Markets
The area hosts many seasonal markets plus a few all-year markets for all of your homegrown needs.
Weekly Seasonal Markets:
Goshen Farmer’s Market is open Fridays 9am-3:30pm from late May-October. Over 40 food and craft vendors. The Goshen Farmer’s Market is located in the Orange County Government Center parking just across Main Street from the inn.
Florida Farmer’s Market is open Tuesdays 10am-4pm June - October. All produce vendors are from Florida’s black dirt region plus they have fruit, honey, pickles, eggs, meat rubs, micro greens, soaps and home baked goods. The Florida market is located 6 miles from the inn.
Middletown BID Farmer's Market is open Saturdays 9am-1pm from June - October. You can get freshly grown produce and herbs, homemade beauty, bath and candle products, fresh cut flowers, and local snacks and goodies. The market is located 9 miles from the inn.
Warwick Valley Farmer’s Market is open Sundays 9am-2pm from May - November. The market features over 30 regional farms and farm kitchens and provides the community with the freshest food products and artisan goods available. The market is located 12 miles from the inn.
Yearly Markets:
Soons Orchards offers a Farm Store and Market open 7 days a week. The market offers fresh-grown produce and delicious homemade treats, like apple cider donuts, pies, apple cider, applesauce, kettle corn, fudge and nut butters, plus honey, milk, eggs, and beef. The Cider Mill is open on the weekends. Soons is located in New Hampton, 6 miles from the inn.
Pennings Farm Market is open 7 days a week and offers fresh produce, meats, dairy, honey and a vast array of specialty grocery products. They also have a garden center, grill, ice cream and a cider pub. Pennings is located in Warwick 14 miles from the inn.
The Culinary Institute’s Flagship location in Hyde Park, NY is 45 miles from the inn. The Farm to Table movement is abundant in the area. Here are some amazing places to spend some time while you visit.
All For One One For All (AOOA) is a non-profit regenerative silvopasture farm, farm stand, and education center in the Hudson Valley. Through responsible farming practices, community workshops, a bountiful and biodiverse harvest, and delicious farm stand goods, AOOA aims to promote a rich local food culture, build a connected and more resilient community, and do its part to contribute to a healthier planet. AOOA is located just 1.5 miles from the inn.
Goshen Green is a farm and market focused on building community through food, art, and education. They offer a food truck for weekend brunches, a year round market, as well as art and yoga programs on the farm, and an expanded educational program. Farm to Table Dinners are offered monthly in season. Goshen Green Farm is open located just 1.5 from the inn.
Blooming Hill Farm is a family owned organic farm in the Hudson Valley that offers a farm market, CSA, flowers, restaurant, and event space. The restaurant is open Thursday - Sunday for dinner and brunch on the weekends. Blooming Hill Farm is 9 miles from the inn.
A culinary gem in the Hudson Valley. Quaker Creek is best known for their quality homemade sausages, meats, and delicatessen products.
